Volunteers are at the heart of the Barrie Soccer Club. We rely on our many volunteers to operate efficiently throughout the season. The skills and experience each volunteer brings to our organization allows us to continue to grow. We have many opportunities available for you to apply your particular skill set.

We are always looking for volunteers in the following positions:

• Convenors

• Game Leaders

• Coaches for House League

• Assistant Coaches for the Development and Competitive Programs

• Field Marshals

• Team Managers for the Development and Competitive Programs

• Board Members

• Fundraising

• General Services

Each opportunity differs in activities and time commitment. Some positions are project or event-based and require a shorter time commitment, while others are longer term ongoing positions that will run the duration of the outdoor season. We need people like you to give some of your time, whatever works into your schedule, to help make a difference.

Student Volunteers

The Barrie Soccer Club has opportunities for students to help out as coaches, game leaders, assistant coaches, camp coaches. The Barrie Soccer Club will provide training for all volunteer opportunities.

What are some of the benefits of volunteering? Players will:

• Be able to use these hours to be counted for the mandatory 40 hours needed to finish high school.

• Gain work experience that can be used to build their resumes for jobs.

• Add to their playing resumes and show University and College coaches, they are invested in helping give back to their club and community.

• Develop teamwork and leadership skills learning how to problem solve and share ideas.

• Learn the value of giving back to the club and community and understand their contributions help build a solid club culture leading to success.
